OAK HILL, Fla. -- Traffic has been flowing smoothly in both direction on Interstate 95, but that wasn't the case for the better part of the day when a tractor-trailer overturned on the south-bound side in Oak Hill and causing the south-bound lanes to be closed for more than 6 hours.

Funeral services will be held Saturday for Matthew Wood, Sr., a longtime mason credited with helping to build Oak Hill City Hall, 234 US 1.

OAK HILL, Fla. -- Matthew Wood, Sr, a forefather of the city's incorporation and its first black policeman for 20 years, died Thursday. He was 90 years old.

It was the day of school for Ray Catheline's little princess, Olivia, who entered kindergarten at the Buns Sci-Tech Charter School in Oak Hill. Big brother, Nicholas entered second grade.

Misty Burris Catheline took one final snapshot of the kids at home in New Smyrna Beach before the drive to Oak Hill and a couple more photos with father and the children in their respective classes.

"(We're) missing our babies, but we have a little downtime now," the proud mom lamented.
