DELTONA -- The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the armed robbery of a woman as she was withdrawing money from an ATM in Deltona Tuesday night.
OSTEEN -- A 35-year-old man was struck and killed Thursday night by a motorist in a Nissan Altima while trying to cross State Road 415, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
DELAND -- As it turns out, there was a lost dog after all.
On Friday, Volusia County Sheriff's investigators located the man at the
center of a reported suspicious incident near DeLand on Wednesday involving missing dog and his approaching a girl about it.
DELAND -- Volusia County Sheriff's deputies are looking into a suspicious incident in which a 13-year-old girl who was outside of her home near DeLand Wednesday afternoon was spooked when a man asked her to get into her truck to help him look for a lost puppy.
DELAND -- A woman who showed up at the DeLand Police Department headquarters Tuesday night wanting to know why a video was broadcast on the local evening news featuring her as a
suspect in a robbery was arrested on scene by Sheriff's deputies, an agency spokesman said.

DAYTONA BEACH -- Sarah Palin will attend the Feb. 14 running of the Daytona 500, but as a fan and not as part of any pre-race program, officials at Daytona International Speedway announced Saturday to local media.
DELAND -- A 21-year-old motorist was killed early Saturday when he lost control of his pickup truck on a curve and caused the vehicle to overturn after he apparently overcorrected his sterring, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
DELAND -- A DeLand man is facing a series of criminal charges after pulling a box cutter on a Volusia County Sheriff's deputy Friday night. No one was injured during the episode, which occurred at about 10:35 p.m. in the parking lot of a business on North Woodland Boulevard north of DeLand, Sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson said.
DELAND -- The a beauty shop near DeLand was robbed of beauty supplies late Friday afternoon by two women, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said.
