DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The vitriol of Sheriff Mike Chitwood, veracity of County Council's Heather Post, arrest of suspected pedophile David Lee Davis and the death of State Sen. Dorothy Hukill were big stories in 2018, but there was one bigger still: The perversion of politics in Edgewater by corrupt politicians who cost the city's taxpayers millions in lost revenue with the firing of the city manager, the jettisoning of the public safety director and the ongoing illicit between a city cop and councilwoman that continues to compromise the municipality into the new year
