DELTONA -- Investigators have vruled the deaths of two adults found blooodied in front of a home Sunday afternoon a double homicide, a Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman said.

DELTONA --Two people were found shot to death just before 4 p.m. in front of a home at 695 Hartley Ave., a Volusia County Sheriff's spokesman said.

"When deputies arrived on scene, two people, a male and a female, were found dead outdoors," Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said.

DAYTONA BEACH -- A freight train struck and killed a woman woman and critically injured a girl with her Saturday morning at West International Speedway Boulevard near Charles Street, emergency officials said.

The two were struck on or near the tracks by the northbound train at 11:30 a.m. and were found by rescuers less than a hundred feet from the railroad crossing arms. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics and the girl was rushed to Halifax Medical Center with broken bones, fire spokesman Larry Stoney confirmed.
